OUR STORY
Independent Works is dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities develop skills that will help them become more independent, socially integrated members of the community. Through group activities, events, and the pursuit of affordable, inclusive housing, Independent Works assists in provides opportunities for people to overcome the loneliness and social isolation that is common among people with disabilities. Founded in 2019 by a group of mothers of young adults with autism, this organization is entirely dependent on volunteers, including people who are served by the organization.
